Like everyone, we have had some health issues. Through the years we have learned some basic foundational truth concerning the design of our bodies. We were created, not evolved. This means that there is a design for the function of our bodies not hopeless happenstance without any real purpose. We trust that this same vision will give you hope in your hour of need as we trust in the wisdom of God as His unfailing love and faithfulness to those who have come to trust in His Son. We are here to testify of that faithfulness and to agree with the scriptures that “perfect love casts out fear”. This is the motivation to share what we have with you. I have read and dabbled in nutrition and health for many years, starting as a young single man in my early 20’s and now in my 50’s with a wife and 8 children. Changing our health and way of living can be challenging indeed. I had received many benefits in my early years of a life of mostly raw fruits and vegetables, large quantities of carrot juice and occasionally going on a “cleanse”.  Some of the dramatic memories start with having my wisdom teeth removed when I was in my early 20’s.  I wanted the cheapest avenue. This consisted of all 4 teeth removed at once with local anesthetic. Some of the roots were wrapped around the jaw bone and it took 3 nurses to hold me down as the oral surgeon was wrenching the teeth out of my head. When I was done there, the doctor gave me a prescription for pain. I told him that I really did not want to take any drugs. He assured me that I was going to need it. That evening the pain began to set in and I brought myself to take the first dose of the pain medication. I had a sense of losing the clear control over my mind and senses. I began to think of the scripture that God has given us a spirit of love and power and of a sound mind. I did not like what I was feeling and resolved to take no more meds. To stop taking meds is no clear answer in itself for we have issues to deal with. I had been reading books by Dr. Norman Walker on the usage of fresh fruit and vegetable juices for improving our health. I had also been juicing for at least a year on and off. I read that raw apple juice is a good anti inflammatory and I knew that fresh carrot juice was extremely beneficial in many ways. I started juicing that first evening, using fresh apples from my parents trees and plenty of carrots from a neighbors vegetable farm. I slept through the first night and every night thereafter with no pain to speak of. After 2 days I stopped by the oral surgeons office for a routine checkup. He said that I was healing so fast that he would pull the stitches instead of waiting till the 5th day. Later on in my life, I was to have another extreme and more threatening circumstance. I received an injection wound in my hand cleaning a high pressure airless sprayer. I injected paint thinner and an oil base metal primer in my hand. I went to the emergency room and had it cleaned out that night. Every day the swelling became worse and spread until I was swollen to my shoulder. The doctor assured me that everything was fine. I had worked with livestock for many years and had my share of diagnosing health problems with livestock. I was not reassured by the doctor because of the progression that was taking place in my hand. By the third day, the swelling had extended all the way to my shoulder. The doctor was still not concerned and said that maybe I needed to change oral antibiotics as I might have a little infection. I felt shockingly discouraged and realized that I would be dead before this doctor woke up to what was going on. At home I was trying to research some natural ways to help myself but didn’t know quite what to do. My wife’s aunt who was an RN who had worked in emergency and lots of surgery, stopped by and asked to look at my hand. It had only been 3 hours since the doctor had seen my hand with little concern. Upon unwrapping my hand, she gasped in unbelief. She told me to get down to the emergency room pronto or I would be losing my hand or even my life. She told me get another doctor as the one that was seeing me was an idiot. That evening at the emergency room, the hospital refused to call in another doctor than my usual one. Upon seeing my hand, my doctor was shocked that my hand had grown 50% in size in just 6 hours since he saw me last. He admitted me to the hospital and scheduled surgery for 6:00 am. He jammed stiff medicated gauze into the drainage wound that he installed when he cleaned out the injection site 3 days earlier. I rocked back and forth in agony all night long, holding my hand and crying out to God for mercy. At 6:00 am they knocked me out to operate on my hand. My wife fell apart when they made her sign the paper giving them permission to do whatever needed to be done to save my life (including cutting off my hand). When I awoke, the doctor told me that he dug two deep trenches covering parts of my palm into two finger (center ones). My hand had been blown up like a balloon and he did what he could to dig out the dead tissue without damaging the nerves and tendons. He was unable to get all the dead tissue and had therefore left the wounds open (not sutured up). His plan was to see if in healing with the wounds open, the dead tissue could be pushed out. If he didn’t have to take off my 2 fingers or hand as things progressed then he would eventually suture it up and do plastic surgery to make my hand look better. After this sobering conversation I spoke with my wife and knew exactly what to tell her. I told her to go home and make me at least 1/2 gallon of fresh carrot juice per day and for the first few days to juice some fresh apples with it. My wife brought me my first fresh juice in that day and the nurses kept it in their fridge for me, bringing it to me whenever I asked for it. I was able to see progress in my hand every 12 hours on a continuing basis. On the third day the therapist took me through some painful exercises, stretching the tendons under those large trenches the doctor dug for me. The doctor told me that I would need therapy for weeks, even after I left the hospital. On the second visit from the therapist on the following day, she informed me that I was doing so well that I wouldn’t need to see her again. The doctor never did suture up my hand or do plastic surgery. It all just grew together, filled in and healed over neat and clean and in 1/2 the time that he said. He had told me that I would not be able to do anything for a month, but I went back to work in two weeks. When I was in the hospital, the nurses that brought me my juice and took care of me, told me that I was doing the very best thing. They said they had seen so many problems and side affects from drugs and medications and that they were truly not the answer. I am not against doctors, we truly need their help at times. We do however need to gain wisdom of God’s creation design to build up our bodies and their immune systems. It is amazing what can happen when we do. As the years went by and my family was expanding in size and stature, we had to move back towards better eating habits. If you are human, you understand what it means to stray. We need reminders and sometimes hard circumstances to put us back on track. Through the years we had tried a number of health products. It is difficult to find both effective and affordable products for a large family. I always remembered the experiences I had using fresh vegetable juices with all their benefits. We tried several products and finally tried some of the Green Foods products, Green Magma (barley juice powder) first. We juiced carrots and took our Green Magma along with a high percentage of raw fruits and veggies. Some complaints were arising in the family concerning the taste of barley grass juice. It’s hard to stay with something if you struggle to take it. We tried mixing Magma Plus (which contains 57 nutritional products including a goodly amount of barley juice) with Green Magma and eventually threw in a container of Carrot Essence into the mix. We found a great tasting mix, high in barley grass juice with many other nutritional products. This is not a prescription, this is just what we like to do. We found the Green Foods products to be the most economical way to gain a substantial nutritional and energy lift. Many of our friends now do the same thing. We always feel a big difference when we quite taking our mixture. We feel even better if we add a big glass of fresh carrot juice each day to the program, especially if we can get lots of fresh produce into the diet. After being on this program for some months, I noticed a great decrease in the liver spots on my hands. A large scaly spot on my forehead turned soft and reduce in size. We had also added essential fatty acids to our diet which at that time was flax oil (now we use chia seeds). The longtime warts on my wife’s hands disappeared and a large planters wart on the bottom of my toe was gone after 30 years of companionship. We also had a daughter who was getting sick every day with a low grade fever, her face was very pale and she didn’t feel good at all. After she got on the Green Foods products, and stays on them, she doesn’t get sick anymore. My wife and I and a couple of our boys had low blood sugar problems, after taking the Green Foods products we do not have these problems anymore. This is our experiences and not a cure for everyone. We believe in these products. The next big step was adding Organic Virgin Coconut Oil to our diet. I had never read about coconut oil improving the prostate issue that men seem to deal with as they get older but I had a dramatic response. I had been having some enlargement of the prostate with decreased urine flow and the need to get up 2 to 3 times (almost every night) to use the bathroom. The first day on coconut oil I took 5 to 6 tablespoons and felt a dramatic change within 24 hours. I now sleep through most nights and feel completely different. I cannot say that this is anymore than anecdotal evidence, yet I am greatly enjoying my improving condition. One of my daughters had been suffering with a bad yeast infection for about a year. After 9 days on coconut oil, the symptoms were gone. We also had a son who had a yeast infection for 2 years and nothing seem to fix it. His was healed up in 9 days also. More evidence is accumulating on the health benefits to virgin coconut oil from the scientific community and we see from our experiences that it is true. This is our experiences and not a cure for everyone, but please give these products a chance, it is worth it! Improving our health is not a matter of finding a miracle product, but a concerted effort to combine good factors that surrealistically work together for the good of our health. The more we learn and practice, the more effectively we can demonstrate this truth. You will reap what you sow and you are the only one who has the power to make the changes that will bring effectual progress. The more we learn, the less we are afraid of facing this issue. I will never forget what those nurses in the hospital told me “drugs are not the answer”. We can trust God’s incredible design even in this earth’s fallen condition. He has truly given us everything pertaining to life and Godliness and has granted scientific learning ability to mankind which should work in accord with His incredible design. We live in northwest Minnesota. We moved here from Missouri under difficult circumstances with no money. We bought a bank repo with no money down and the down payment due when our house in Missouri sold. We intended to build some foam insulated concrete domes here for a new home when we could afford it. We have experiences as a family building these structures, all we needed was lots of money. For 7 years now we have been living in a steel quonset building that was a machinery shed and grain storage building. We have had some moisture issues from leakage and mold on the concrete floor. This has been a miserable scenario to say the least.
